Its been one of the quietest fire seasons on record in Northwestern Ontario.
Ministry of Natural Resources crews have responded to just 57 fires, compared to 201 this time last year.
MNR Spokesperson Travis Moffatt says the lull in action has been valuable as they have been able to carry out various training programs.
While the fire hazard remains low in Dryden and Kenora, it has jumped to high in the Sioux Lookout-Red Lake areas.
