Unless things change dramatically, forest fire activity in Ontario will be at its lowest level this year since 1928.
Bob Thomas of the Ministry of Natural Resources says the weather has been the dominant factor.
There have been 326 fires in Ontario, including 190 in this region.
Thomas says over the past decade the province has averaged more than 1,100 fires a year.
Last year there were 818.
