High water levels, ice-build up and managing water flows hasn’t been
an issue on Lac Seul this winter.
The Lake of the Woods Control Board has the responsibility of
monitoring all 3-areas and officials say a mild winter has alleviated any
major problems.
As for possible flooding this spring, Spokesperson Rick Walden says its
too early to venture a guess.
Walden says it’s too early to tell how much run-off they will see but
notes at this point they are not anticipating any major flooding.
He says the major story for 2006 was the unsafe ice conditions on
Lac Seul.
