Race for Mayor in Red Lake

For the first time in years, there will be a new leader in Red Lake.
Phil Vinet and Jack Goodwillie are in the running for Mayor, ending the
9-year tenure of Dunc Wilson.
Vinet says he’s excited about the future and is looking forward to possibly leading the community.
Vinet says there’s an immediate need to upgrade the Town’s infrastructure and notes
Council needs to take advantage of mining and the value-added wood sectors.
Goodwillie says he want’s to tackle a number of issue if elected.
Goodwillie says waste management, recreation opportunities and economic
development are his main priorities and he adds the community must take
advantage of the value-added forest sector.
