Rain Could Help Dampen Fire Hazard

There are four active forest fires in northwestern Ontario.

They are burning in the Red Lake and Nipigon districts, but aren’t expected to cause any problems.

There were ten new starts reported between May 19th and the evening of the 24th.

The forest fire hazard is high in the western and central regions but there may be some relief with rain in the forecast throughout the weekend.
