A special weather statement is in place in Dryden, Vermillion Bay and Ignace.
According to Environment Canada, 20 to 40mm of rain is expected overnight.
They also say the rain is expected to persist into Wednesday and it is possible for some areas to receive rainfall amounts of over 50mm.
