Residents living along Rainy Lake and Rainy River are being told to
take precautions to cope with flooding.
Abitibi-Consolidated Spokesperson Raimo Tyrvainen says
Rainy Lake is now sitting slightly above its flood level.
He adds outflows have been reduced on Namakan Lake and the flows down
the Seine River system have been cut back.
He adds as long as future precipitation comes in the form of isolated
showers and not downpours, water levels should slowly recede.
