If you live along Rainy Lake or Rainy River and haven’t yet taken precautions to cope with flooding, now is the time to do so.
Abitibi energy utilities coordinator Raimo Tyrvainen notes Rainy Lake is now sitting slightly above flood stage.

Tyrvainen notes outflows have been reduced on Namakan Lake and the flows down the Seine River system have been cut back as well which will help Rainy Lake.
But he adds this could change if more rain falls in the next few days.
