Northern Ontario’s pulp and paper mills are now
receiving rebates to help reduce the cost of electricity.
Minister of Natural Resources David Ramsay says so far 9
out of 11 applications have been successful.
Ramsay says they’re still working on an application for
the Dryden Domtar mill.

Eligable paper mills need to purchase a minimum of 50-
thousand megawatt hours annually and commit to increased
energy efficiency. Fort Frances’Abitibi Consolidated Mill
received a large rebate.
