The RCMP laid 31 charges related to fraud and breach of trust against suspended senator Mike Duffy.
The investigation into the PEI senator mainly focused on his housing-cost claims submitted for what he said was a part-time residence in the capital.
Also at the center of that controversy was a payment of $90,000 former Harper Chief of Staff Nigel Wright made to Duffy in an effort to help him quell the controversy over the housing claims.
Duffy will appear in court on September 16 to answer to those charges.
