The world is watching and waiting to see what the aftermath of ISIS attacks in France and Lebanon will be and how it could impact North America.
Dr. David Charters of the University of New Brunswick believes ISIS will continue to carry out attacks similar to Paris.
Charters says other attempts will likely be made in Europe but warns they may also happen elsewhere.
He notes the most recent series of attacks don’t come as a surprise as French authorities were breaking up one plot after another over the summer and into the fall.
Charters also predicts the attacks will complicate Canada’s plan to bring in 25,000 Syrian refugees.
He notes the Prime Minister will need a strategy on screening and says the process to register claimants will become longer.
