The ‘Light the Sandy Beach Ball Diamonds’ committee says Tuesday’s rally
at Dryden City Hall was just the beginning.
Group Spokesperson Angie Berry says while the general feeling was that
the City could not participate financially, the indication seems that they
are more than willing to create a partnership.
Director of Community Services Bill Latham has agreed to help the
committee organize and apply for funding and officials also plan to work
closely with Economic Development Officer Vicki Kurz.
More then 2,000 signatures were collected on a petition in 12-days calling on Council to help light the ball complex.
