Reaction to New Tourism Region

New tourist regions being created by the provincial government are being compared to Local Health Integration Networks.
The Ministry of Tourism has announced the creation of 13-regions, including 1-massive marketing body for the North.
Gerry Cariou is the Executive Director of the Sunset Country Travel Association and says that won’t change the way they market this area to visitors in the United States and elsewhere.
Cariou admits the creation of the new tourist regions will likely mean a decrease in funding for his organization.
