Residents of Northwestern Ontario have been supporting the Canadian Red Cross in record numbers to help tsunami victims in South Asia.
Spokesperson Shana Hanson notes a relatively small amount of money can go along way to help those in need.

Hanson adds at least 90 percent of all donations is going directly to aid victims of the disaster.
Because the Red Cross is such a large organization, she adds 10 percent is being use for administrative costs.
