Red Lake Airport Terminal Officially Open

It was a big day in Red Lake Thursday!
Minister of Transportation Denis Lebel and Kenora MP Greg Rickford gathered with Municipal leaders to celebrate the opening of the new Red Lake Airport Terminal.
The new Terminal features luggage handling and processing areas, a flight information kiosk, 5-airline ticket counters, a First Nations services kiosk, accessible washrooms and retail areas.
The Airport also boasts additional parking and an extended service road as well as new wildlife control fencing.
Overall, the Federal Government spent roughly $2.5-million on the project.
The total project cost $7.1-million.
