Two local anglers are 15 thousand dollars richer after a weekend of fishing.
Haley Anderson and Garrett Kocis of Red Lake took the top prize at the second annual Lac Seul Walleye Cup.
The pair reeled in 27.58 pounds over the two day tournament and Kocis caught a 9.58 pound walleye on day two to secure first place.
Anderson says they will definitely be back to fish in next year’s tournament.

The weekend of fishing is also a big tourism and economic boost for Ear Falls.
Mayor of Ear Falls Kevin Kahoot says the tournament draws in locals, as well as anglers from Manitoba and the States.
Kahoot calls the weekend a success thanks to volunteers.
