The recreational assets in Red Lake keep on growing.
The latest feature is the Centennial Park Splash Pad which opened this weekend.
Mayor Phil Vinet says it’s incumbent on Council to provide recreational facilities for youth.
Vinet says they fail if they don’t engage children early on in life and give them an opportunity to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.
Vinet recalls when the Skateboard Park was built, noting it has now become their busiest recreational facility.
The Municipality is also currently investigating the feasibility of a multi-use facility that would include an Arena.
