The Dryden GM Ice Dogs could do little right, while the Red Lake Miners did little wrong Tuesday night.
The Miners scored four times in the first and four more in the second en route to an easy 9-4 win at the Cochenour Arena.
Red Lake leading scorer Bryce Young led the way with three more goals, while Stratton Pickett and Michael Di Lullo added two apiece.
Keilan Toews also scored, while Connor Jacobs recorded his first SIJHL goal.
Most of the Ice Dogs scoring came in the third, when there was no doubt on who would win.
Braden Shea scored shorthanded, Will Fletcher got his first league goal on a powerplay and Bradley Fortier got a four-on-four marker in his first SIJHL game.
Jacob Siebenga scored in the first.
Dryden GM was outshot for the first time this season 44-33.
Red Lake is now 8-2 after learning earlier in the day that the Thief River Falls lost four points earned against the Miners because of the use of an ineligible player.
The Ice Dogs are now .500 with a pair of overtime losses.
