A long hot day for firefighters tackling Red Lake Fire 049 which has caused the evacuation of Ref Lake.
As evening approaches, the fire is still out of control at over 675 hectares. It has not reached Highway 105 nor hydro lines providing critical power to the community.
19 fire crews are being supported by four water bombers and ten helicopters.
Tomorrow’s weather is expected to be hot and dry while there is a chance of rain Thursday.
