Red Lake Hospital Receives Some Help

Officials at the Margaret Cochenour Hospital are not looking a gift
horse in the mouth, but they suggest more help is needed.
The Red Lake facility has received $137,000 in one time
funding from the Province.
CEO Ken McGeorge says the money only scratches the surface of the
Hospitals financial problems.
McGeorge says the cash will cover basic operating expenses and
collective bargaining agreements.
He adds small Hospitals in Northwestern Ontario are at risk
right now under the Province’s current funding formula.
