Red Lake man fined for camping too long on crown land

A Red Lake man has been fined for crown land camping violations.

He had been camping in a trailer from June of 2024 and spring of 2025 near Corallen Lake north of Red Lake.

The Ministry of Natural Resources say he moved his camper to a different location but left it there longer than longer 21 days, which is all that is allowed.

He’s been fined $2,500.
