Red Lake Man Killed In Weekend Tragedy In North Spirit Lake

The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service says it’s investigating a tragic fatal motor vehicle incident in the North Spirit Lake area.
Deputy Chief Roland Morrison says a Red Lake area man was killed in the weekend incident.
Morrison says a post-mortem was conducted Monday morning and the results aren’t yet known.
He stresses they have been in close contact with the family and aren’t yet releasing his name.
The Sioux Lookout Crime Unit has been assisting in the probe.
Reports to the CKDR Newsroom indicate the victim was working on a vehicle on an all-weather road when it rolled over him.
Morrison says the Ontario Ministry of Labour has been notified but there’s an issue on who controls jurisdiction in that specific area.
