Red Lake Mayor Pleased With Province Plans To Expand Transportation Service

Red Lake Mayor Phil Vinet says it’s high-time that northwestern Ontario starts to get treated as equally as northeastern Ontario.

Vinet says for far too long, we have been playing second fiddle in terms of transportation services.

He is applauding news the province plans to expand service in the Red Lake area, since for both personal and medical reasons, public transportation is important.

Vinet says Highway 105 is a long road, and if you don’t have public transportation, it’s almost impossible for anyone to use the corridor.

It’s not yet clear how the service will be carried out. (File Photo)
