Two Red Lake men have been fined a total of $4,000 for
illegal hunting after firing at a moose decoy.
Conservation Officers set up a bull moose decoy off Highway 105 back
in October and both of the hunters fired at it in 2-seperate incidents.
72-year-old Luigi Mesto has been fined $1,500 for careless
use of a firearm while hunting and $500-for discharging a firearm from a
travelled portion of a roadway.
42-year-old Conrad Mann has been fined $2,000 for hunting bull moose
without a license.
Both men have been banned from hunting for a year.
