The Red Lake Miners are alone in second place in the SIJHL standings.
Zach Willms was brilliant in between the pipes making 44-saves as the Miners defeated the Lakers 3-1 in Fort Frances last night. (Tuesday)
Morgan Venne, Spencer Milne and Ryan Patterson scored for Red Lake.
The Miners are now two points behind first place Thunder Bay.
