Red Lake Miners Drop Opening Game At Nationals

A tough start to the Centennial Cup for the Red Lake Miners in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

The SIJHL champs dropped their first game of the tournament 9-2 Thursday against the Pickering Panthers.

Brady Harroun scored both goals for the Miners.

Red Lake went 1 for 8 on the power-play in the contest.

Pickering out shot the Miners 38-31.

They will have today off before playing the 1-0 Brooks Bandits from Alberta on Saturday.
