The mayor of Red Lake says the cost of OPP service is slowly getting better.
Next year, the municipality is expected to save roughly 200-thousand dollars thanks to the new provincial funding formula.
Phil Vinet says Red Lake has suffered through the highest policing costs in Ontario.
He also stresses more work is needed and he will continue to ensure they reach a level where they are paying the same amount as every other community in the province.
