Red Lake OPP Take Action

Late Friday evening Red Lake OPP conducted a foot patrol of the skate park in Red Lake following complainants from community members of drugs being sold and used at that location. Four youth were located and arrested for possession of marihuana and other drug paraphernalia. During the arrest, one of the youth, a 17 year old male from Red Lake, resisted arrest. The officer gained control of the youth and he was handcuffed and taken into police custody. The one male youth was charged accordingly and is scheduled to appear in Red Lake Youth Court on September 22nd. The other 3 youth, 2 males both aged 16 and a female aged 17, were issued warnings and released.
