Red Lake Water Funding

The Mayor of Red Lake says the wheels are in motion to get filtered, pure drinking water.
Balmertown, Madsen, MacKenzie Island, Cochenour, Vermillion Bay and Hudson have been under a boil water advisory for almost two years now.
Dunc Wilson says they will receive two-thirds of the 10.8-million dollars it asked for to make improvements to its water treatment facility.
He says they hope to break ground on a new water filteration plant in the fall.
Meantime, Sioux Lookout and Machin continue to seek funding from both levels of government to make the necessary improvement to its treatment facility.
