Red Lake Woman Strikes It Rich

Kathleen Cooke won’t have to worry about her bills for a few years.
The Red Lake resident was a winner in the $1,000 a week, Cash for Life Instant Lottery game.
The 61-year-old opted for the $675,000 lump sum prize.
Cooke scratched the winning ticket while on route to Calgary for a family vacation.
She plans to use the money to pay off her car, make repairs to her home as well as invest for the future.
The ticket was purchased at the Village Corner in Vermilion Bay.
