There’s been a further reduction in working hours for the 130 employees at the Abitibi-Bowater sawmill in Thunder Bay.
Company officials say the operation will run four days a week instead of five, leaving employees with 32 hours each week.
The move comes a month after a previous reduction in working hours from nine-hour shifts to eight.
Abitibi-Bowater blames the changes on high inventory levels at the sawmill due to the weak demand for lumber in the United States.
