15-High School students from Dryden and Kenora will be competing in the Envirothon Regional Competition this week.
Public School Board Spokesperson Kathy Boone says the challenge is being held Friday at Blue Lake Provincial Park in Vermilion Bay.
Boone says the competitors will have to be experts in forestry, aquatics, wildlife, soils and salt water.
She adds the students will be challenged on various skills including critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication.
One team may be eligible to compete at the Provincial Championship in St. George next month.
