Regional Hospital Finalizing Mask Policy

Changes are coming if you are visiting the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Masks are being made mandatory at the hospital.

Any patient coming for an x-ray, procedure or to visit the Emergency Department will be expected to wear one.

Dr. Stewart Kennedy says patients are expected to bring their own masks but no one will be turned away.

“If we have some extra additional masks we will actually request a small donation from the people who can’t bring a mask or find a mask.”

Dr. Kennedy adds it’s just the respectful thing to do anytime you are out in public noting it protects you from the spread of COVID-19.
