All northwestern Ontario MP’s are accounted for after today’s shooting on Parliament Hill.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty was the only regional MP in the parliament buildings at the time the shooting broke out.
He was in an NDP caucus meeting that was interrupted by the shots.
They were all whisked away and put under lockdown.
Thunder Bay-Superior North’s Bruce Hyer was away from parliament hill at the time and his staff were in a location away from the shooting as well.
As CKDR News told you this morning, Kenora MP Greg Rickford was on his way to the parliament building when he was told to stay away.
