Regional OPP Enforcing Move Over Law This Weekend

Provincial Police across the region will be watching motorists who don’t move over this long weekend.

It’s an Ontario law that requires motorists to move over and slow down when approaching emergency vehicles stopped at the side of a roadway.

Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says the potential of a serious collision is very real.

The fine for not slowing down or moving over can reach up to $2,000.
