Regional OSPCA Services Suspended

The Ontario SPCA has suspended operations at its Dryden-Kenora branch.
A year-long internal review determined operations will cease January
31st, 2008 because of an enormous deficit and concerns surrounding the
Keewatin location.
Manager of Marketing and Public Relations Kristin Williams says over the next 5-weeks, animals awaiting adoption will be transferred to other OSPCA and Humane Society Adoption Centres.
Animal cruelty and neglect complaints will still be investigated.
Williams says they are looking at a future model for the area agency.
