Organizers of a northwestern Ontario dog rescue operation are hoping to expand into southern Ontario.
Officials in Red Lake and Sioux Lookout rescue stray dogs and with the help of Bearskin and Wasaya airlines send them to Thunder Bay where the animals are adopted out.
Spokesperson Mel Blanchette says they hope a major airline steps forward to volunteer its services to send the animals to the south.
Blanchette believes there is a market there.
