Regional Rotary Members Gathering In Kenora

Over 200 Rotary Club members from across northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are in Kenora for a major conference.

John Dahl is heading up the organizing committee and says one of the highlights will be a walk along the Kenora Harbourfront Friday to raise awareness of their Polio eradication campaign.

Dahl believes they are one to two years away from achieving their long-time goal.

He adds they’ve lined up an impressive list of powerful guest speakers.

The list includes the Rotary International Past President from Oklahoma as well as Linda Taylor of the United Nations in New York City.

The convention starts Thursday night and wraps up Saturday.
