The mother of a Dryden man serving in Afghanistan is sending our troops
a special gift.
Nola Hill recently sold 600-dog tags to area residents in order to
purchase two big screen tv’s and entertainment units.
The entertainment centers have been sent to Canadian Forces Bases in
Kandahar and Kabul for our toops to enjoy during downtime.
Nola Hill is also hoping to work with Canadian Mint to distribute a
special coin collection honoring Canadian soldiers.
Her son, Bill has been serving in Afghanistan as a driver for General
Rick Hillier.
He is scheduled to leave the area on Monday and will arrive back home
next week.
