Regional Veterans Affairs Office Appears To Have Second Life

The cries of veterans across the region to re-open the Veteran Affairs office in Thunder Bay may have been heard.

A government spokesperson says Minister Kent Hehr has indicated re-opening the office would definitely be done within a year and possibly sooner.

The office was closed by the previous Conservative government.

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Don Rusnak says it’s an election promise he’s eager to keep.
