Regular season in the WHSFL finishes

The Beaver Brae Broncos, Dryden Eagles and the Fort Frances Muskies will each host playoff games in the first round of the Winnipeg High School Football League.

All three teams claimed wins on Friday.

The Broncos finished second in the league with a 5-1 record thanks to a 40-6 win over the John Taylor Pipers.

The Eagles enjoyed another shut out, their fourth of the season, thanks to a 15-0 win over the St. John Tigers and finished the regular season with a 4-2.

The Muskies won by default over the Daniel McIntyre Maroons.

Beaver Brae now hosts the Portage Trojans. The Trojans were the only team to hand the Broncos a loss this season.

The Muskies finished in third place in the league standings also with a 4-2 record, but because of a 27-14 defeat of Eagles in week 6, Fort Frances claimed the higher seed.

The Eagles finished in 4th place and play the Churchill Bulldogs at Harry McMaster Field.

All the playoff games take place Friday afternoon.
