A setback for the Canadian Cancer Society in northwestern Ontario.
Another Relay for Life fundraiser has been cancelled.
The regional Canadian Cancer Society office in Thunder Bay says the Kenora event had to be axed due to low registration levels.
Back in November the local organizing committee was planning to cancel the event before the Regional office worked out an agreement to reschedule the event.
Last year’s Relay raised $47,000.
Similar events have failed to get off the ground in Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
