The emergency department relocation at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout is expected to be completed on Monday.
The relocation is from the 7th Avenue site to the 5th Avenue site and is being done to enhance patient care.
The move has resulted in renovations to the north wing of the 5th Avenue Site to accommodate the Emergency Department as well as a change of scenery for the kitchen.
There will also be a room at the 7th Avenue site to accommodate the surgeon’s office and surgical and pre-op clinic.
The Assault Care and Treatment Program and Traditional Healing Medicine, Food and Support program will also be moving into the 7th Avenue site later this Summer.
