Reminder to Inspect Heating Appliances

Winter is right around the corner and that has prompted the Dryden Fire Service to issue a reminder to residents.
Emergency and Education Officer Reagan Breeze says all furnaces, fireplaces and woodstoves need to be inspected and all chimney’s must be cleaned.
Under the Ontario Fire Code, its a requirement to have heating appliances inspected annually.
Faulty furnaces and woodstoves are the common cause of most winter fires in the City of Dryden.
