Replica Gun Causes a Stir in Dryden

Quite the scare this afternoon for Police and 3 people passing through Dryden.
Officers stopped a westbound vehicle on Highway 17 just east of the City for speeding.
After a consensual search, Dryden Police found a handgun concealed in one of the bags in the trunk of the car.
The firearm caused quite the stir with a call for backup and a gun-point arrest.
A further investigation revealed that the handgun was actually a replica pellet gun and no further weapons or contraband were found.
The group was released and a simple speeding ticket was issued to the driver.
