An ambitious Waterfront Development Plan has been presented to Dryden Council.
Consultant Jeff Frank says the proposal follows significant community
consultation and looks at 38-acres of land owned by the City, Nature’s
Inn, Pilot’s Landing as well as private and government sectors.
Frank says the highlight is a promenade and walkway along the
waterfront’s edge.
The future vision of the waterfront also includes a lighthouse,
Centennial Festival Park, Water Park, expanded Yacht Club, Accommodation,
food services, Art Centre and Interpretive Centre.
The consulting firm was involved in developing the Forks in Winnipeg and Franks says the two projects are similar.
