More money is needed to keep the picture archiving and regional
electronic health record alive in Northwestern Ontario.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says the Northwest Health
Network needs $5.6-million for the upkeep and expansion of the
program.
The NDP Leader would like to see the additional funding included in
Wednesday’s Provincial budget.
Hampton notes the electronic system will save the government
bundles of money because patients will be able to be treated in their own
community.
