A major honour for the Sioux Lookout Community Coalition for Healing and Reconciliation.
The group has been invited to Halifax on October 27th to launch its ‘Starting to Talk’ handbook.
Co-Chair Garnet Angeconeb says the handbook was created by former Indian Residential School students, clergy and interested members of the public.
He adds the handbook is about renewed relations, healing and understanding.
The public is invited to witness a special blessing ceremony on Thursday at noon at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre.
