Resolute Forest Products is reporting fourth quarter earnings reaching a net loss of 109 million.
The company says it paid out 131 million toward the closure of its mills in Iroquois Falls and Quebec and a paper machine in South Carolina.
Four million is attributed to closure costs for its Fort Frances mill which is listed as severance and other costs.
The company says it also saw an eight per cent decrease in sales.
