Resolute’s Sawmills Close To Opening

Resolute Forest Products is on track to have its sawmills in Ignace and Atikokan operational very soon.
Chief Executive Officer Richard Garneau says Atikokan should be in production by the middle of next year, with Ignace coming on line later this year.
A planner mill, also being constructed in Atikokan, is expected handle lumber from the Ignace plant early in the near year.
When the two mills are on-line, they will produce a total of 110-million board feet in their first year of production.
